Please confirm the withdrawal dates for

CS/3 v3.1 on C-ISAM

CS/3 v4.0 on C-ISAM

Withdrawal of support for specific versions of CS/3 or Enterprise is announced on a case-by-case basis. The decision is taken based on a number of factors, including:

  • end-of-life statements for hardware platforms
  • end-of-life statements for operating system versions
  • end-of-life statements for database versions
  • compatibility between versions of these
  • availability of new versions of Sage software. No decision has yet been taken for CS/3 v3.1 or CS/3 v4.0.

Could someone please advise us a way of de-allocating cash against invoice/credit notes in both AR and AP

The workaround would depend on the precise scenario and would involve using AR/AP Journals, or possibly ‘negative cash’ items, to create new open transactions.

Sage is currently developing this functionality, having recognised that the potential workarounds are not ideal.

Sages Marketing details shows E-procurement under their Web applications. Can Sage explain what this consists of and what their future plans are in this area?

We were previously assured that Line 500 V5.0 will be released in C-ISAM,
but our reseller tells me that Sage has no plans to release a C-ISAM
version. Is this correct?? and if so, can Sage justify its decision, given
that there are a number of customers still using C-ISAM, and very unlikely to
move to an RDBMS in the near future.

Sage will not be releasing v5.0 on C-ISAM the reasons are all in the Product Development presentation by Graham Caldwell

Can Sage confirm (a) what percentage of the maintenance charge is passed
onto Sage and (b) resellers have the discretion to charge lower than the
recommended charge?

Sage quotes an RRP of 20% of the list price of the software for maintenance and charges resellers 7.5% of list. There are some minor variations depending on platform. However, legally we cannot place restrictions on the resellers, who are free to offer a lower price if they wish.

Does Sage think two weeks notice for issuing the increased module / licence price lists to it's customers is reasonable. At the risk of being cynical it seems very few people are going to be able to act quick enough to take advantage of the current price list.

Sage made no comment on this question.

Where in the road map is the Line 500 to SalesLogix interface?
