WORKING E-BUSINESS
A talk by Peter Gee, Director of Strategic Alliances, Pasporte – 6th March 2002

Information Technology has taken its place amongst the utilities as an essential part of modern life. You wouldn’t dream of trying to manage the technology that delivers other utilities, such as water, gas or electricity so why not outsource the responsibility of managing your Sage application too?

Through Pasporte, you could begin to enjoy unprecedented levels of power from your business applications.

Pasporte are experts in delivering outsourcing and fully managed Sage applications (once only available to larger corporates) to companies of all sizes, enabling you to enjoy all the business benefit of your applications, without the inherent complexity in managing the technology. Sage applications in particular, can be implemented rapidly, providing a secure, reliable and available enterprise level application, whenever and wherever you need it.

If you are considering upgrading to Sage Enterprise Version 2.0, but have been put off by the cost, the thought of managing the application or infrastructure or would simply like a hosted solution, Pasporte could provide your answer.

A hosted solution takes away the pain and fear of e-business. A monthly payment structure means that your IT becomes a fixed cost and budgeting is made easy. You needn’t worry about the cost of infrastructure, or the hassle of downtime. 24 x 7 x 365 proactive monitoring of applications and servers, means you can enjoy maximum levels of supply.

Today Pasporte has five customers running, hosted, fully managed Sage Applications. Read the Equip Case study on their website at www.pasporte.com. For more details contact Kathy Heath on (01276) 450450.

The presentation given by Pasporte to ISTUG can be reviewed in the ISTUG Members Club web site.

The picture on the right shows the presentation by Peter Gee of a DVD player to Marcus Katz of Victrex who was the winner of the competition sponsored by Pasporte.

Marcus won on the strength of his response to the tiebreaker question, having submitted "Working with Pasporte could benefit my business by speedily delivering an integrated e-business solution so effectively and with enough cost benefit that the IT Manager would have time to go home and watch DVD movies.".

Congratulations to Marcus on his win, and many thanks to Pasporte for both taking part in our day, and offering a prize to ensure attention to their display.
