Product Development Notes from June 2002 Meeting

These notes should be read in conjunction with the presentation slides delivered by Justin at the June 2002 Meeting.

Product Hierarchies

Good analysis of stock levels, sales and purchases can reduce working capital and greatly improve profitability. This functionality provides enhanced product analysis. This is achieved by adding a further three product group codes (currently only three) with enhanced validation.

Includes changes to reports and new product hierarchy functionality.

Extended Discounts

Provide functionality to manage more complex discounts, including:

part/full discount, simple discount/amount, cumulative/threshold discount

Multiple discounts can be applied at line or order level.

Client Enhancements and Utilities

Extend the available utilities in order to improve the functionality and usability of the client.

Client invocation control system

Allows you to launch a program from your own application, e.g. an Intranet Portal.

XML interfaces

Functions to enable the sending and receiving of XML format business documents, with integration with Microsoft Biztalk Server 2000.

COP in Quotations and Scheduled Orders

Brings Quotations, Standard and Scheduled Orders in line with enhanced payment and Commercial paper functionality.

Accounts Receivable Multi-currency

To allow Accounts receivable invoices and commercial papers to be entered in any currency.

Serial number entry enhancement

Improve the speed and accuracy of entry of a large quantity of serial numbered items via Works Order Completion and Purchase Order receipts.

VAT on order acknowledgements

Produce VAT Box on sales order acknowledgements.

SuSe Linux

To extend the platforms and the choice to customers we have added two Linux platforms. IBM iSeries and Intel.
